Imagine Me

Imagine me in your waiting arms
When there’s no need for alarm
Cause i can be such a dangerous breed
So many lovely things i’ll never need

I could have been your downfall, darling
Will your weaponry invite my scarring?
I can’t wait for you to run out of patience
So Tune this out or turn up the station

This is starting to feel like a disaster
Pick me up; the past is happening faster
Explosions shredding me to the center
Waking nightmares sing “return me to sender”

Ghost will haunt me as I stand by addiction
6 feet under; where I bury conviction
Sipping whiskey and spit into the fire
One foot out as I jump into the pyre
