Imagine

Imagine not having imagination
Imagine not being able to think
To dream, to wish
No thoughts, no goals
Ideas will be gone
Would we be potatoes, stones?
Squishy, brainless masses.
Could we invent?
Could we create?
Would we fly?
Would we swim to the deepest depths?
What would artist do?
Could Beethoven write his songs?
Would the Mona Lisa have eyebrows?
How could we live?
Could we live?
