Imagination Or Reality

"Your brain can be schooled,
Perhaps even fooled

To believe what you imagine,
So maybe even love can happen

But that would require the heart,
To get into the act at the start

How do you get love,
Is it a blessing from God above

Can we imagine it to make it real,
Can you hold it and see how it feels

Does the heart control the brain,
Or is it the brain that trains

The heart in love,
Maybe it’s a combination of the above

They say you can’t love things,
But I do love Beyoncé when she sings

Maybe love is a person inside us,
That makes that funny feeling in our gut

How about when all the moments seem right,
And your vision is blurred by a beautiful sight

A sunset would count if you just exited a cave,
Or you’d been freed after being enslaved

Like happiness love is learned,
For it requires trust to be earned

Our imagination accentuates it,
Until we are persuaded to submit

Which is why God is so easy to love,
And all that he offers from above.

It requires imagination to believe,
It’s called faith you see

To sanctify the mind and the heart,
So to love all that life imparts"
