Images

I found myself wondering inside an empty house which was about to be torn down
A flicker of light caught my eye
And I saw a mirror broken on the ground

I bent down to pick it up startled by what it showed me
It appeared to be several different images
Many different faces trying to break free

I continued to walk the empty halls
Another image appeared
Inside the mirrors hanging on the walls

A beautiful lady smiled at me
But it quickly vanished
a sad lonely girl crying was now the image for me to see

I continued to walk until glass cut my feet and I began to bleed
Another image formed inside my puddle of blood
It was a scared child in need

I glanced at a window were another image was shown
It was an angry woman
Searching for the love that she had never known

Behind every closed door a mirror had been placed
Each carrying a different image
But were quickly erased

I tripped and fell on top of a locket
Inside it held the image of a fighter
I picked it up placed it in my pocket

Who were all these different images left for me to see
Suddenly the answer was clear
Each reflection were all different aspects of me
