I'M Still Praying Father

Could someone stop, and please explain, why I'm stuck on a world that's gone insane... Why some people can hate another for the color of their skin, come on I'm waiting, for someone to begin! Tell me why, families no longer have the moral strength, to protect their kids from evil's destructive length? Why are pedophiles once incarcerated and removed from society, allowed the freedom to prey again on unsuspecting families? Someone please explain, why we allow kids to watch questionable shows on the screen, and then are outraged when a child acts out this violence in a real life scene? Explain to me how a couple that are drawn together as husband and wife, turn on one another, vying for children in a malicious custody fight? Tell me someone, how hospitals can suddenly become too expensive to run every day, when there is no relief in sight for sickness and surgeries are cut in every way! Please explain why; those in their golden years are thrust into retirement as worthless trash, when they protected our peace, so that future generations could rise from War's blood and ash? There is so many things that I wish could be explained to me but I know it's no simple task, so I'm still praying Father that we never reach the point when we don't care enough to ask! ©25/07/2012

This is a good write...seems there are always more questions than answers. Still...never loose faith, there are still a lot of decent people in the world. I really like your poem.

Thank you Debra and I do have faith in God and what He can do in this world. The last sentance in my poem is why I wrote this, let us never stop asking these questions or become apathetic to the world's inhumanities. Sometime's the only bible a person sees is us! Love Jane

I agree Richard We love to blame others but walk around in apathy. There are homeless, jobless, hungry, those without medical, dental, clothing and basic needs in two of the wealthiest countries, Canada and U.S.A and yet we place the blame on our leaders instead of praying for change.
