Im Still Cheering You On

Though I'm no longer there
And do without your love
You're still the woman who
I'm always thinking of
I hope you're doing well
Even though I am gone
And secretly...I'm still cheering you on

I know your happiness
Will one day find its place
Someday you'll look with love
At someone else's face
You'll lay awake some nights
And greet the morning dawn
Knowing that, secretly...I'm still cheering you on
It's a secret...I tell no one, at all
It's a secret...hoping, one day you'll call

If you should ever find
That what you felt was wrong
And that your love for me
Is flowing very strong
While you decide the way
That's best for you to roam...I love you, and
Secretly, I'm still cheering you on
Secretly, I'm still cheering you on

I am feeling the urge to go back and read poetry from earlier writing of my favorite poets today and this is the one I opened of yours James. I truly enjoyed reading it today and it is one of your best. Love, Carol
