I'M Sorry

I tried so hard
To do as I was told
But all you were
Was hurtful and cold

The yelling and screeming
It was all very tough
Knowing I'd never
Be good enough

I wanted to please you
Be as perfect as can be
What was so bad
About being just me

I'm sorry I failed you
I know you're disssapointed
I'm sorry I'll never be
The child you wanted
