I'm Sick of This Life
Listen to poem:
I am sick of all the darn righteousness that is heaped upon my plate
Then made to swallow each righteous morsel; until I was full of hate
Reared up against the establishment as they sit and made new rules
In their clever endeavours to make sure that we remained their fools
It takes more than one’s lifetime to see we are being taken for a ride
Making waste of the more truthful brothers who hung until they died
Who tried to convey an important message to all of those left behind
Live your life with your eyes wide open and to others do not be blind
Take every morsel that you eat with salt and spew only as you please
It's the only way to avoid this holy unrighteous epidemic of a disease
Repeat . . .
Repeat . . .
Who tried to convey an important message to all of those left behind
Live your life with your eyes wide open and to others do not be blind
Take every morsel that you eat with salt and spew only as you please
It's the only way to avoid this holy unrighteous epidemic of a disease
