I'M Sending You a Box of Stars

I'M SENDING YOU A BOX OF STARS I'm sending you a box of stars, for every hurt, and all the scars. For every thing that was not fair, and every time I was not there. I'm sending you a box of stars, I'll hum the rondo out in bars. For times a hug was far and few, and no one home could answer you. I'm sending you a box of stars, and locking up the stings in jars. I tried to block the wretched thing, and hold you close and under wing. I'm sending you a box of stars, I've even paper packaged Mars. On Earth it's every parent's draw, to be forgiven for their flaw. For all that glitters in this box, I'd take away the hardest knocks. For every hurt and all the scars, I'm sending you this box of stars. By Edlynn Nau

It is indeed an important part of human development and leads to the healthy separation and individuation of the child. It also plays a huge role in human accomplishment. Before the brains natural pruning which can go to the mid to late 20s youth take huge risks which has resulted in some huge human advancement as well as monumental stupidity.

Yes indeed! It's how it is but while we have paid for our own upbringing by raising our own, our children don't fully grok this until they raise their own. Thanks for giving it a read.

I get you. I'm scared of that day my children grow up and don't see superman anymore, I know that it will be hard. It's something I have thought about a lot... I can't know when I did that as a child myself but it definitely happened. : )

Thank you Mark! Yes, you are the Superhero, the light of their life, then not so much. Maybe it's natures way of having them move along. Maybe it's a way in keeping us to live our lives better. Nevertheless we are as human as our children! When they notice this, they just don't seek us out like they once did. They turn to their mates & friends (as they should). Still, we miss them.
