I'M Really Not That Bad
I’m Really Not That Bad
Another day, and still I sigh
This constant struggle makes me cry
Unkindness is the reason why
This battle’s all uphill
And for the ones who fail to see,
this pain that makes its home in me
YOU magnify the misery
by thinking what you will
You must admit, I’m just like you
I feel emotion as you do
Anger, hurt and sadness too,
and still you ostracize
If you could trade for just one day,
Your life for mine, I think you’d say
We are the same in many ways;
And friendship would arise
I plead with you to understand,
My disadvantages weren’t “planned”
I must go on the best I can,
But judgment makes me sad
If you’d invite me, I would stay
Include me in your game - I’ll play!
I think you’d find it's safe to say
I’m really not that bad!
