I’m Over It
Don’t leave me reckless like this…a mess like this…
Won’t you give me rest upon my restless eyes, eyes, eyes?
Will you let me free from distress that’s useless?
Can you do me a favor and tell me the truth beneath the lies?
Your words of unbearable love —
I’m over it since I tasted above
Through the lips of an angel…does it ring a bell
Baby, my lamentable darling, you’re more than hell
I’m over it — the words you spoke to me last night more or less
I’m over it — the birds need to be set free from their captivity
I’m over it — your callous actions of affectionate selfishness
I’m over your disdainful rain of dire pain; just set us all free
With your beautiful corruptions
With your wonderful assumptions
So, quit it — I admit
I’m truly over it
Don’t leave me breathless like that — you know where I’m at
Won’t you give me rest upon my restless eyes, eyes, eyes?
Please don’t grieve if I’m in my grave of disgracefulness like that
Don’t you dare make me the fool when all you do is spread lies
Your words of unbearable love —
I’m over it since I tasted above
Through the lips of an angel…does it ring a bell
Baby, my lamentable darling, you’re more than hell
I’m over it — the words you spoke to me last night more or less
I’m over it — the birds need to be set free from their captivity
I’m over it — your callous actions of affectionate selfishness
I’m over your disdainful rain of dire pain; just set us all free
With your beautiful corruptions
With your wonderful assumptions
So, quit it — I admit
I’m truly over it
So, quit it — I admit
I’m truly over it
So, quit it — I admit
I’m truly over it
My wit was all alit,
Locked in this pit
I’m knitting unquarrelsome serenity
I’m prettying the useless ugly inside me
I’m pitying you when I should be let be
I’m carrying my heart, broken you see?
I quit seeing the silver lining of your abominable manipulation
I will see to it that I’m over it
I admit — I’m being quite needy and sensitive, but I can’t help my frustration
Towards you, but yeah, I’ll get over it
Now that you’re gone,
I’ve moved the hell on
Since you haven’t stayed
I’m over it, for I’ve prayed
Healing and agape love is nearby
So, worry not, I won’t cry or get high
I’d rather die on this boulder upon my shoulder an infinity times
I won’t bear your cross of your ferocious, avaricious crimes
I’m over it — the words you spoke to me last night more or less
I’m over it — the birds need to be set free from their captivity
I’m over it — your callous actions of affectionate selfishness
