I'm Only A Pill
I'm only a pill, But in time, I can cause great ill.
I may provide a temporary thrill,
But beware, for I can take away your will.
If you continue to take me, a habit will form.
Soon enough, addiction will swarm.
Without me, you'll tremble and shake,
Believing you need just one more to take.
I'll consume your thoughts when you awake,
But remember, I'm just a drug, for Hells' sake.
At first, you may be curious, intrigued,
But soon enough, I'll bring you to your knees.
Just when things seem unbearable, indeed,
I'll turn your life into a torturous creed.
If you find that taking me is worth the risk,
then may the morning find you sick.
Your chances of breaking free will be slim.
I’ll take everything that’s a part of you,
your soul I will win.
Obtaining me may be all too easy to try,
And in your pursuit of a high, you may comply.
I speak no lies. I'll observe, satisfied, as you slowly die.
