I'M Not Your Enemy

Bipolar by nature

Sick in the mind

You and your antics

I just don't have time

You as a role model?

Don't make me laugh

You're clueless,

I would be foolish to follow your path

I'm glad God called me out

And made me His own

To learn His ways

And make Heaven my home

If it wasn't for Him

I would be just like you,

Mean. Selfish.

Lost. Confused.

Ice cold,

Completely dark

I guess some people

Just don't have a heart

Only when you can benefit

Do you like me around

But other than that

You don't make a sound

It's quiet. Silent.

No words are exchanged

It's hard to believe

That we share the same name

We share the same traits

Same genes, same blood

You call yourself a parent

But you show no love

I'm glad I'm mature

And God made me wise

He gave me discernment

To see through your disguise

To know how you see others

Is a reflection of how you see yourself

And the pain you cause me

Reflects the pain you were caused by someone else

But I'm not the problem

So don't take it out on me

I am your child

I'm not your enemy
