I'M Not Rich

There's three dollars in my breeches -
The most I ever had was ten.
This cowboy's life don't bring riches,
The pay is scarce and pretty thin.

I'm sittin' on my three dollars.
An',friends, that is the whole dang pot.
Might ride to town, see what follers -
Or then again I just might not

I could have a beer, but I won't
I ain't rich and I don't wear collars,
Could play poker, but I don't
But,by God,I've got three dollars.
