I'M Not Insane

skipping rocks across the lake
feeling tears run down my face
screaming out i feel the pain
and i know that im not sane

feeling arms encircle me
i kick and writh just to get free
seeing things i shouldnt see
things are locked inside of me.

Kaley, this is a deep and complex poem in so few words. The "mismatch" of situation and reaction (freedom and joy of skipping stones & feeling sad and being comforted and trying to break free) are insightful and speak to the conflict of what we have and what we want. Great writing. Stephen.
