I'M Not As Strong As You Think I Am

I'm not sure how much more of this I can take,
At any given moment, I may break.

It's harder than I thought, to watch you die.
I say "I'm good", but it's just a lie.

Every visit, leaves me broken.
With every jumbled sentence spoken,

You fight so hard, to maintain your grip.
Even still, I watch you slip.

I'll laugh and smile, as long as I can,
But I am not as strong as you think I am

Erica when I read your poem i saw myself. Its truly amazing how similar two people can feel when expressing poetry. We all feel weak and try to be stronger than we may feel we truly are, but if you admit that you are not strong, it only means you are much, much stronger than even THEY or YOU can imagine. I love your poetry, you expressed such deep feeling and don't ever quit. you're too talented for that, :) I hope everythign works out, Love J.
