The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

I'M Having a Coffee

I'm having a coffee
as I feel chilled to the bone,
it might help me to think
and not feel sad and alone.

Many words need to be penned
letters together, need to be sewn,
I try to think of things to write
today my mind is on the roam.

Sometimes having a coffee
really helps me think,
it warms my inner core
writer's block won't bring me to the brink.

I don't like having writer's block. So, I try to keep my mind exercised by writing a few poems a day...if at all possible.

You and your poetry came to mind today, Cynthia, and wondered how life is treating you. Hopefully not still trying to cope with writer’s block! Regards // paul

It does get old; then again, you never know what might stimulate it.

Cynthia, enjoyed your poem. There's nothing better than that first sip of coffee in the morning when the rest of the world is still asleep. John
