I'M Followin' the Man

I'm followin' the man in a rock n roll band keepin' two fingers crossed and luck in my hand Yeah John and Paul got nothin' on you 'cause you might make the stage in another year or two But for now you're in my limelight can't be spinnin' me around Man I've been tryin' oh so hard just to keep what I have found Seems you wanna throw it back for a much better catch 'cause you don't want the feelin' like ya gotta be attached You took four or five years of love off my life without turnin' over didn't have to think twice Oh I love you like you are I wanna go with your goals but you aint gonna live where the livin' is slow So step back and give you space you're a rock n roll man now and I'll turn loose and yet keep lovin' you the best that I know how

I was one of these up and coming rock and roll stars at one time, but I didn't need space...just a bit more talent. Really Gayle, I enjoyed this because it did bring back memories of shooting for those stars until realizing the day job pays better. :)

Haha! It's okay Chris, I think the person I was referring to in this, works construction now and doesn't even care to pick up a guitar anymore. Oh the dreams we had when we were young ;)
