Im An Addict

So sick of hurt
I just want this life to work
abusing my mind
i feel fragile all the time
quick to snap
so why cant i snap back
to the girl i was once upon a time ago
flowers in my hair
nothing to fear
everything changed though
rainbows light my world
though drowning in hurt
this wont work
it was my last thread
now im done
wishing for a moment that i was dead
on my wrists im an addict
addicted to my own pain
inflicted as if it was a game
blood came up from skin
steel came down on it
they touched
because
im addicted
to my shame

Marvelous self awareness Jay - sometimes shame provides us with that struggle we need to be great - if God allows the world to hurt us, then why not hurt ourselves for self betterment - J.A.B. %

The shame belongs to the originator, the perpetrator, not the victim. Along with the crime to the victim often comes a load of mixed emotions and a curiosity. The victim often begins to believe that some how some way they were at fault. The answer is they never were at fault in any way, never, never, never. Another emotional write. God Bless. Vince

This is very Deep.I Love the way you protrayed the pain as "an addiction to shame" *.*<3
