I'M a Survivor

I've witnessed acts I'd normally see
From being in places I'd not normally be
Having an impact on my life
Cutting deep like a knife
I've sat with my mother and watched her die
She had to go still I keep asking why?
Cutting deep like a knife
Having an impact on my life
I nearly died giving birth
But to be a mother it was worth
Having an impact on my life
Cutting deep like a knife
I've missed accidents by just a hair
A presence is watching seems very near
Having an impact on my life
Trying to keep out of strife
Yet my life continues along
I'm a survivor trying to stay strong
