sunlight
brought you back to me
like yesterday
afternoons
we'd share a spoon
seldom thoughts
of tomorrow loom

when you failed to sleep

we adored your fall
summer fields
and winter chills
hope is leaving
quick and fast

usually
i allude to you
when i'm not
