ILLUSIONS
Aloof and heedless, beer glass pushed
Aside with pique and self-pity, he was
Famous among the carved walnut credenzas
And vintage hand-cut Bohemia lead crystal stemware
In the drawing room plays
Of Kensington in his mind.
