I'll Sign the Silence

you take the sunshine, ill take the shade
and we'll grow apart,
I'll keep the rain and snow,
the moonbeam's gaze,
the trees that shiver when they sway,
and you'll get all the sunny days,
the friendly waves, the "are you ok?" 's
and per the terms of my departure
i promise not to make a martyr
of the bumps and bruises I've sustained
so I could try to brave your pain
despite the years only adding tears
ill sign the silence -disappear

Tough one, but when the bumps and bruises only continue, it's time to go.
