I'Ll Pay the Cost

I've tried and tried, but now I am worn,
It's time to stop, and it's time to mourn.
I'm tired of the fears, the tears, the pain,
Nothing changes when it stays the same.
Thinking I was right, knowing I waa wrong,
Became very weak where once I stood strong.
Just wanting to feel love with daily care,
ended up taking on too many burdens too bare.
You see I lose myself when it comes to fear,
all reason and logicc will somehow disappear.
Instead my emotion begins to take the lead,
deceptive illusion tells me I have what I need.
As time passes , fear actually increases more,
then I begin to miss what I once had before.
I had confidence, security and hope within,
looking to the future, not where I have been.
Now I want back the qualities I seem to have lost,
no matter what may be the price, I'll pay the cost.
