I'Ll Never Forget What's His Name

He did not teach me much,  he had rather take me out to lunch. Be honest all your days,                                                                              that was what he would say. Everyday work hard,                                                                                    with all of your heart. A winner never quits, even if it is the pits. A quitter never wins,                                                                                  they get it on the chin. This great man did not teach me much, yet in reality he taught me a bunch. Dad what a great name,                                                                              you should be in the hall of fame. (Dad You Were The Best) Date: 9/17/2019

Hi Paula, we were of the generation where feelings were not shared and we have so much bottled up inside of us... I too wish my dad was still around to have those precious laid back conversations. Loved your poem.

So glad you like it. Thank You, for reading and writing. He was a wonderful person and dad. One day I will see him again and then we can have the long talks we missed out on.

- My father is still alive ... he didn't teach me so much ... he worked all day - But in recent years I have learned from his history ... his life before I was born ... poverty and war ... a "illegitimate children" that were never accepted - A great poem, Paula - hugs // Anne-Lise :)

Bravo! This is how many people felt about their daddies. My Daddy was not a toucher either, but he did not have to be.
