I'Ll Even Hug a Passing Frog

Hugging
I have heard
is coming back to stay
for rumour has it
we are fast approaching
National Hugging Day
Awaiting an announcement from Prime Minister Boris J
All hugging can resume
here on the
17th of May
Three cheers my friends
Hip hip Hooray
have waited for so long
For now at last I can embrace
My friends
My family
My cat
My dog
So full of hugs am I
I’ll even hug a passing frog
Hugs they bring so many smiles
I am a hugger
born and bred
For many months
I had to hug you
virtually instead
but now it seems it’s mandatory
for Boris he has said
So here I come
with arms outstretched
to make up for lost time
Hugging you so tightly
I may never ever let you go
Your tender hugs
how much I’ve missed
for you will never know
They fill my heart when we’re apart
twinkle and shine ~ until next time…

The pandemic has removed so many things we took for granted - sending HUGE hugs to you Ann, we hugged our elderly friends last Sunday - so good to be able to mix with them once again, who would have thought how our lives would be so controlled:-( hugs and hugs again:-) Jan xx I found not being able to hug our friend at her hubbies funeral one of the hardest things to bear during lockdown:-(

Hugging is a means to show affection and one does not hug without reason. I rarely hug virtually on the soup. Many do so for reasons of their own. But you are such an affectionate you deserve one. Hugs
