I'Ll Be Waiting!

I told you today, about my feelings for you. And it got all awkward. You stopped talking, Even when I tried to change the subject. You’re ignoring my pleas for our friendship, to go back to normal. I thought that telling you was the right thing, But all it’s done is made you, Uncomfortable talking to me. We would talk for hours and hours, And now you will barely say one word. You know me better then anyone else. And I feel like we’v lost that connection, Because of what I said. But it doesn’t’t have to change things. I just thought that you should know, Just in case you felt the same way. You never know it may just be the best thing, But you have to give it a chance. Or at least think about it. You don’t have to make your decision now. Wait an hour. Wait a day. Wait a week. Wait a month. Even wait a year. But I just want you to know that, I can wait forever. But if you don’t say something now, I’ll move on. I’ll get the point, We could just drop it if you want. But when you realize, That you want to be with me. If it’s not too late, If I haven’t forgotten about this, Then I’ll be waiting. Waiting on the side lines. Waiting for the day to come, When you see me how I see you. Just remember, I’ll be waiting.

I like the essence of this poem. It's very expressive and tells a story of one waiting; hopefully, it will not be in vain. It also shows the power of love and the journey one has to take at times. Great job! Joseph
