I'Ll Be Alright

I’ll be alright

Gashes on my forehead
Sweeping my hair to cover it up
Sister seen it with fear
I held her and said
I’ll be alright
Blows to the chest 
Drowning me in my bed
Hold my 3mth old next to me 
Whispering 
I’ll be alright
Fist fights
Late night scares
Getting beat to the ground
Holding my bottle of liquor
Slurring I’ll be alright
Dragging my face on the ground 
Spitting disgustingly at my feet
Missing jewelry 
But always have a smile on my face
Tearing I’ll be alright 
2 years free of physical abuse
Fracture sternum
Torn/rupture disc
Slight loss of memory
Still in pain
But I hope I’ll be alright
Expressing my pain
Loving my life
Still hurts to explain
But damn it
Im alright
