If You Were To Eat Your Words

If you were to eat your words how would they taste would you swallow them slowly, without haste ? If you were to nibble on the letters of your poem would they satisfy your soul like a sweet Shalom ? If you were to feast on a whole entire page of nouns would you turn into a smile, or a big upturned frown If words were edible then I'd make malice avoidable and I would never write anything mean or unlovable If you and I were sensitive poets we'd write real good so everything we'd eat would taste like jello not wood is it understood ? 6/9/2019
