If You Were Mine

Oh! Emeralds, simply divine,
    Each precious stone, beyond compare.
    Translucent gems, wish you were mine,
    As jewels for to grace one's hair,
    Or pendant on a chain so fine.
    Deep lustrous greens, of hues so rare.
    A verdant birthstone crystalline,
    Springs talisman, loves solitaire. 
    A brooch wherein two hearts entwine,
    From natures treasure chest, we share
