If You Were a Color

If you were a color you would be dark green.
Not a musty or dusty dark green,
But a comforting rich dark green.
The type of green that smells like the calm before a much needed storm.
The type of green that people say to get your bed sheets in because it helps you sleep better.
The type of green that reminds you of the north west coast.
The green of jade stones.
The green of coniferous trees.
I love the color green,
Because it reminds me of you.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed. (Green is a favorite color of mine.)
