If You Want To Have a Friend Why Not Be One

If you want to have a friend, why not be one?
Putting your hope, trust, and faith in that special someone.
Who forever promises you to faithfully remain true to you.
Who will stick closer to you than either your mother or your father.
Who will remain loyal to closer than your sisters or brothers.

For it is our beloved heavenly Father from heavenly heights above.
Who so loved you that he gave you his only begotten Son.
Who would freely sacrifice his life for you even if you were the only one.
Jesus Christ has freely given unto you everlasting life.
He will bless either your husband or your wife.

If you want to have a friend, why not be one?
By spreading the gospel news to every one you meet.
And telling the your own salvation story. Make it sad, but sweet.
Why not be that faithful friend sticker closer than your mother or father?
By being more trust worthy than your sisters or your brothers.

If you want to have a friend, why not be one?
Loving others the same way you love God's beloved Son.
Praying day by day God's abundant loving grace will soon come their way.
And by becoming a candle light shining in the darkness and the night.
So all the world may see, you faithfully are a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Love in Christ Jesus!

Such serene and beautiful sentiments Roxanne--love the repeating line: If you want to have a friend, why not be one?
