If You Should Forget
If you should forget, he will be there to remind you,
He will send what you need at that very moment, and in your heart refine you,
He will bring back the memory to see in part to put the story back in place,
maybe a part you have forgotton but you needed to reread that page,
there was something new within the book that never caught your attention,
a detail so remarkable...you never noticed from the view you were standing,
and when that detail shows itself, it shines right off the page,
giving your heart the light of love in a totally different way,
they say you must forget the bad in order to move on,
but sometimes God will bring it back to teach you what went wrong,
to fix what has been broken, what then your eyes couldn't see,
that tiny detail he held away brought you back to set your heart free.
