The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

If You Need Proof

I tried to make my move on lover’s lane,
but you told me you was not ready yet.
I wasn’t willing to wait around for you,
so I moved on to get what I could get.

When walking down the narrow path of life,
I would stumble over the smallest stone.
And I would get trapped inside the darkness,
could not find my way out of it alone.

I know I’ve made some pretty bad mistakes,
this ole heart of mine has been much too weak.
It seems I was looking in the wrong place,
for the love that I knew I couldn’t keep.

I regret each day I spent without you,
and when I think about you my heart weeps.
I’m sorry for the things I failed to do,
and for all those promises I didn’t keep.

Let me prove to you that I’ve changed my ways,
if you need proof that I’m your kind of man.
Baby I’ll give you anything you need,
just let me reach out and you grab my hand.
