If You Knew
if you knew
you would uproot this pain
that has me drowning
in molten anger and fear
You would free me
of my sins
as well as my creators'
only if you knew
Then maybe
you would hear me
when i cry for help
and you would wipe
the warm tears that rolls
down my flaky face
if only YOU knew...
maybe you would let me
be none other than me
that very little soul
that has been locked
in a dark soap box
maybe you would
give me air
and usher me into
tommorow
then we would see us,
me and you
up against all odds
maybe you would know
that i want you to hold my hand
when walking down that
dark path
That i want so bad
for you to tell me
'its ok' even
when down the core
it hurts so bad
that i want to surrender
But only because
you make it seem ok
i can see through it
If only you would know
how loud i shout for you
to look inside me
Then you would turn my frown
upside down
maybe then you would give me
that touch of love
i sing about to God everyday
maybe, you would hear
my silent prayers,
that you save me
from my self
If only you knew...
i would have been released
from behind the bars of steel
that my fear tightened around me
my wish is that you know
that i need you
more than i could admit even with
a gun held to my head
because i'm scared of being vulnerable...
So now m telling you
i need you
find your way to me
and cleanse me...
