If We Had Never Met
If We Had Never Met
by Rick Rucker
If we had never met,
Just how lonely would I get?
If we had never met,
How happy could I ever get?
With your voice of Reason,
You have a gift of, my pain, easin'
Walking, when you hold my arm,
I know neither fear, nor alarm.
You are so elegant, and classy,
Sure, a right and proper lassie!
Oh, but what things you do,
To me, when I hold you!
My Heart beats so darn fast,
I fear that I will not last!
To die like this, in your arms,
Succumbing to your charms,
About the best way to check out,
Of that, I have no doubt!
