If Tomorrow Comes
We all wait for tomorrow
Presuming it to be the end of our sorrow
The day that will mark the beginning of our joy
Or the day we will give up all acts of coy
We all wait for tomorrow
To remedy the wrongs of our past
To find our way higher up the mast
Or to find better roles to cast
We all wait for tomorrow
To pray fervently for forgiveness
To treat fairly those who have less
To tread cautiously, as in a game of chess
We all wait for tomorrow
To prepare harder for the test
To strive to be better than the rest
Or to wrung free off evil nests
We all wait for tomorrow
To become better versions of ourselves
To remove illicit books from our shelves
Take a good look at yourself
But why for tomorrow must we wait
To right the wrongs of our lives?
Never must we procastinate
'Coz if tomorrow comes, it may be too late.
