If This Is Life
If this is life
how well have I lived?
If this is all there is
what holds me back
from doing everything?
If time stood still
why would I pause
in its waiting?
I should take this moment
linger in its ticking seconds
cling tightly to these feelings and emotions
with love of and for every beating heart
embracing not yesterday, not tomorrow,
not past nor future
only now
if this is life.
