If These Verses Have Caused You Much Pain

If these verses have caused you much pain
Then, I have succeeded
I have won the war with words
And I have made you sweat
If you are crying
Then, I can die happy
Knowing that I have been effective
In your self-pity
If you regret your life and every breath you take
Then, I’ll know that my words held you by the throat
Clutching your neck with loaded metaphors
And if you never move on
Then, I won’t be the only one
