If Teardrops Were Diamonds
If teardrops were diamonds I'd be very rich indeed,
and dad I never felt more rich than when you were
here with me.I miss our little talks we had you always
knew how to lift my spirits, things seem rather quiet
now in my life dear dad without you in it.
I really do not think I will ever stop missing having
you near, your loving kindness and conforting ways
always brought me cheer. If teardrops were diamonds
I would give them all away,to be granted just one wish
to spend with you a day.
But these things will never come about this I know is
true, not on this earth anymore but on some golden
daybreak in heaven I'll see you.I will never have to
worry about crying ever again, for there will never be
tear up there in that promise land.
