If She Knew Would She Run

if she understood his full evilness
in his utter selfishness
would her love for him wane

if she discerned his mysterious self
hidden away quite nicely
would she take love and run?

You and I would be tripping each other, to get out of there.

Sadly, those "mysteries" are often not nearly as wonderful as we imagine them to be ... even disappointing. Better to spend love on someone without the intrigue. Love this write, Caren! :-)

Sadly, sometimes it's not whether she knows... but how much self esteem she has. ;( Thoughtful write.

Sadly, it is also sometimes the threat of him keeping the children, as the ones who "manipulate" truly do become psychological masters.
