If Pillows Could Talk

she cries at night
with her face held tight
to the pillow to muffle the sound

she's tired of kissing
these lips that aren't missing ,
even long after she's gone

she's made mistakes
and regrets the day
she let him move into her heart

And this is battle
that she knows she'll win
Grief over loss of
A love that's never been
A war of emotions
Fought under her skin
The line has been drawn
And her side will win

she breathes in regret
and comes out with contempt
for the faces and places that brought her to this

She tired of breaking
This frontline defenses
To a heart cut out of stone

I guess jesse was right
what they call love is risk
but i never knew that it could come this

And this is battle
that she knows she'll win
Grief over loss of
A love that's never been
A war of emotions
Fought under her skin
The line has been drawn
And her side will win

With troops at her back
That she knows are friends
This is a battle
that she know she'll win
A War of emotions
Fought Under Her Skin
The line has been drawn
And her side will win

We're troops at your back
And we are your friends
We're more than just willing
To fight till the end
Arms loaded and ready
Your broken heart to defend
We've crossed the line
To your battle within

And this is battle
that she knows she'll win
Grief over loss of
A love that's never been
A war of emotions
Fought under her skin
The line has been drawn
And her side will win
