If Only You Knew
If only you knew
If maybe you tried
You’d no longer stew
Over towels, undried
Perhaps you could see
If you opened your eyes
What lives inside me
And feeds me these lies
I think, if you cared
You’d lend me your ears
And cease to compare
Yours and my fears
But what do I know
I’m one of the weak
So that’s why I chose
To go back to sleep
