If Only We Could Rewrite

If I could fly like Superman
My, wouldn't that be sweet
Then I could hold you dearly in my arms
as I swept you right off of your feet

If I could travel back in time
to go anywhere I wanted to be
I would find the moment you first smiled at me
and relive it indefinitly

Now if I made a wish on some far away shooting star
and if wishing really made wishes come true
You and I would live our lives together, happily
because I truly love you

But I can do none of these
made of only flesh and bone you see
Just a man who wishes we would go back
To when you were still in love with me
