If Only, Maybe, Sometimes

If only, maybe, sometimes,
The World could be on pause,
There’s things I’d love to say and do,
Not looking for applause.
If only, maybe, sometimes,
Then I’d travel anywhere,
It wouldn’t matter anyway,
Cos nobody would care.
If only, maybe, sometimes,
I could state the way I feel,
I wouldn’t hold anything back,
No-one for my reveal.
If only, maybe sometimes,
I could say what’s on my mind,
Explain where those thoughts come from,
And how they have been defined.
If only, maybe, sometimes,
Words I said would not repeat,
I’d open up with confidence,
No-one with to compete.
If only, maybe sometimes,
We weren't ever more apart,
If only, maybe, sometimes,
I could speak straight from the heart!
