If Only a Prose Poem -Recited
IF ONLY
Looking back we all have regrets
about life,love and family,chances
missed, love repressed,thoughts thought
but,left unsaid.Hiding what we really
feel,held back by inhibitions,consequence of
past experiences,burnt fingers,now healed
but scarred with remembrance.Time passes
so slowly,tomorrow too soon becomes
today’s yesterday where opportunities
forgone,remain,indelible,if only..if only
and linger long.
