If Only

Can you feel it? My heart thumping Like the rhythmic beats from a drum, Waiting for your love. Can you see it? My eyes tearing up, Creating warm pools of water In my cold empty eyes. Can you hear me? My voice crying out, Hoping for your return With each passing thought of you My heart grows to a distraught rhythm. My eyes filled with water, flood my face. My voice breaks from days of wailing. If only...you'd come back. If only I could feel, see and hear you again.

As per the contest description the entry is for ages 11-18 in which your first name only will be featured in the book. The anthology will be submitted for final publication in the next few days.
