If Only

There are many things I wish
Like wishing for the day
When you can answer in reply
'I really am ok'
(And mean it)

I wish for something better
Like I could never give 
Although you know I'd give myself
If it meant you would live
(I mean it)

I wish you could understand
That what I say is true
Regardless of what you believe
Someone does love you
(I promise)
