If Only

If only we could close our eyes--
And see a place of mystery.
forget our hurt, pain, and cries:
lead new steps for memory.

If only we could shed our past,
Clear us of our misery--
Rid us of our lies and fate,
Open doors for destiny.

But we are human, and that is all,
nothing more, nothing nor.
We have great; in our mind
For those who look, search and find.
