If Only
If only I had only known a cure
To counteract her deadly lure
But knowing not I had no chance
So here I am without my pants
But I’ll not give the details here
Just let me make this one thing clear
She slipped something into my beer
Said “why don’t we get out of here”
I was now within a trance
Thinking only of romance
There are many things I can endure
But not a young and sexy lure
At first she seemed so young and pure
I did not think it was a lure
But just a happy happenstance
That led to this small dalliance
She whispered sweet things in my ear
The smell of lilac now so near
Acting suave and cavalier
I didn’t see a thing to fear
Feeling lucky; thought perchance
I’d get a horizontal dance
But once outside I knew for sure
She was in fact a costly lure
For once out there she did advance
To introduce her boyfriend Lance
Who stood there grinning ear to ear
And whose objective was quite clear
So I became victim Du Jour
Of her enterprising lure
